BAM Capital, a private equity real estate firm specializing in multifamily investments, announced a landmark year in 2025 with a $100 million equity raise, strategic expansion of its portfolio, and continued delivery of strong investor returns. This remarkable growth further demonstrates the resilience and strength of The BAM Companies’ vertically integrated business model, as well as the firm’s capability to secure significant acquisitions in diverse economic climates.

The organization’s achievements reflect a steadfast commitment to generating results for investors while fostering positive community impact. BAM Capital has strategically leveraged data-driven methodologies, focusing on stable assets within the U.S. heartland, to solidify its status as a leader in private equity real estate.

Investor confidence in BAM Capital reached exceptional levels in 2025, with over 200 new investors and 300 returning partners, enabling the firm to exceed a $100 million equity raise, which in turn powered the launch and successful growth of key investment vehicles. Among the notable developments were the introduction of BAM Multifamily Growth Fund V and the closing of BAM Multifamily Growth and Income Fund IV, the latter of which deployed more than $170 million in capital across six assets. In addition, the 2025 calendar year saw the completion of strategic acquisitions, including Camden Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Hayden Flats in Bloomington, Indiana; and Kinsley Forest in Kansas City, Missouri. The BAM Preferred Credit Fund built on its reputation for reliability by investing in two mortgage-backed debt investment tranches comprising 22 loans. Notably, the fund sustained consistent monthly cash distributions of 8% to investors, reinforcing its standing as a dependable income vehicle.

Founder and CEO, Ivan Barratt, commented, “Our accomplishments in 2025 are a direct result of our disciplined approach to real estate investment. By focusing on key MSAs in the Midwest, we are able to identify assets that offer both stability and long-term value, regardless of market volatility.”

In addition to acquisitions, BAM Capital delivered significant progress through its joint venture real estate developments, including the advancement of Crossing 5 Towns & Flats in Plainfield, Indiana, in partnership with J.C. Hart; the opening of Westgate on Third in Bloomington, Indiana, alongside Domo Development; and the start of leasing at Nox at Urbano Way in Pittsburgh, with Milhaus.

The BAM Companies was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the eighth consecutive year, the Fast 25 Award from the Indianapolis Business Journal for the fourth time, and the Top Workplace distinction from the Indy Star for the third consecutive year. BAM Capital was also honored by USA TODAY with several Cultural Excellence Awards, recognizing achievements in employee appreciation, well-being, and professional development, along with the Real Estate Industry Award. The firm’s in-house property management team, BAM Management, further distinguished itself by receiving the Best Industry-Related Innovation Award from the Indiana Apartment Association in recognition of its proprietary maintenance training program, as well as three individual awards from the Greater Iowa Apartment Association.

In 2025, The BAM Companies celebrated its 15th anniversary, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to team growth and philanthropy. The company recognized employees reaching a decade of service, highlighting a workplace environment that fosters longevity and appreciation. Alongside these milestones, philanthropy remained central to the firm’s values. Partnering with organizations such as the Firefly Children & Family Alliance, American Red Cross, and Shepherd Community Center, the team organized blood drives, assembled food bank packages, and coordinated holiday programs for families in need.
